This week has been a busy one for my sewing machines, the next pattern I want to talk about is the Merryweather from Stitch Upon A Time. I got the chance to test it out before release! It is a top pattern FULL of options, there are 3 sleeve lengths, 3 necklines, 2 widths and 3 lengths to choose from as well as hemmed or cuffed sleeves! It comes in sizes XXS - XXXL and it really could be the only jersey top pattern you need! The pattern comes with very detailed instructions with photographs for every step. Each option has it's own section and is logically ordered. It is a very quick sew with just 5 pieces to stitch together for the hemmed version, taking me less than an hour from printing to finish! I made the XS with a small FBA to get the best fit, I made no other adjustments. The blue and pink floral is made as a hemmed, round neck, tunic length, loose fit with 3/4 length sleeves. The 70's style brown version is the hemmed, V neck, shirt length, loose fit with full length sleeves. I love the way both of these fit, they are loose enough to be really comfortable but tight enough to flatter the figure and show off some curves. In addition to all the other options already listed, the pattern also gives you the option to colour block the front and/or back, truly opening up endless varieties of top and dress you can make from this one pattern! I haven't yet made a colour blocked one but it is certainly on my to-do list as soon as my Christmas sewing is over. This pattern is OUT NOW and with coupon code merryweather25 you can get 25% off through 15th December! Top Pattern - Stich Upon a Time Merry weather
Jeans Pattern - Baste+Gather Birkin Flares Fabric was from my stash, sadly I don't remember any details, sorry!
