Thank you all for joining me on my stop of the Love Notions Hip Hop Tank Tour!
I really enjoy being part of these tours, they're always packed full of inspiration from so many talented bloggers showing such an amazing variety of styles so be sure to check out all the other stops along the way too! ALSO!! Don't miss out on the giveaway at the bottom for your chance to win $50 Love Notions store credit!! I've made myself a top for this tour but The Hip Hop tank is available in both girls and ladies sizes (as well as a bundle!) and has 4 different back views and then tank, sleeveless or cap sleeves all included in the single pattern!
When I saw this pattern, I was immediately drawn to the petal back option and the leftover rayon lycra & stretch lace fabric from my recent Oceanside dress called me asking to be put to use too. I chose to make the sleeveless option although there is also a tank width if you prefer less shoulder coverage and cap sleeves if you prefer those. I made the size XS as per my measurements but perhaps with the fabric being drapey rayon I could have got away with sizing down and using the largest girls 14 instead, if using cotton lycra, the sizing would have been perfect.
Because I chose to use lace for the back petals, I decided not to line each one and leave the raw edge raw as I didn't want to weigh the lace down or change the drape of it. Everything else is as per the pattern.
The Hip Hop Tank pattern is layered so you print only the size or sizes you need and the construction of pages is trimless. It can be printed on A4 or letter sized paper (just select the right borders in the layers section) and includes a cut chart for the pieces needed for the neck and arm bands. The petal option was a really quick sew for me, taking no longer than a couple hours from printing to finished.
I'm actually on holiday this week (Wales, UK) so couldn't help but bring it with me int he hope I could get some photos with a little of the pretty and very different scenery in!
I hope you enjoyed my stop, please do check out all the other talented bloggers and don't forget to enter the giveaway!

Your version is so pretty! I've made 1 and have had the idea to do a lace back version. Seeing yours gives me the incentive I need to get busy with it before summer is over!
