Ever since I made my Husband his football shirt from the Bram raglan pattern, he has been asking for some joggers to go with them, mostly because his legs are much longer than all the store bought ones fit and also because he wanted to be able to get them on and off over his shorts, boots and shin pads. He practically brought me my machine and fabric when I asked if he liked the style of these from Wardrobe by Me, even when I told him he'd need to model them for release photos and here! So here they are, modelled with his Bram! The Rebel joggers are a professionally drafted indie PDF sewing pattern made by Wardrobe by Me. The pattern covers sizes XXS-3XL (22-39.5") So great for Teens as well as adults and includes shorts as well as pants! As with all Wardrobe By Me patterns, the tiles are trimless and all pattern pieces have layers so you only need to print the size(s) you want. Based on the measurement chart I made my Husband the size Medium with an extra 4" added to the length at the bottom of the legs to match his inseam measurement! Other than adding length, I made the joggers exactly per the instructions, using eyelets and flat bootlaces for the waist cording. To enable him to take them on and off over his football boots, I made the hemmed version and used a stretch looped back french terry (93% cotton, 7% elastane) from Tia Knight Fabrics and needed just under 2 metres. For the waistband you can either use ribbing or the same fabric as the rest of the pants as long as it contains lycra, so for these I used the same fabric. There is some 3" elastic inside the waistband as well as the drawstring so in my Husbands case at least the drawstring is purely decoration and could be omitted for an even quicker sew, as it was they only took 2.5 hours to sew so probably not necessary to leave it out really! As you can see, he is very happy with his new joggers, they fit him well, he says they're "amazingly comfortable and very easy to move in" and has asked for more for sports as well as some in novelty prints and thinner jersey for lounge wear and PJ's so all in all, a big hit here! Full price pattern - (£8.63) $11 - I received the pattern for free in return for testing Fabric Cost - £12 ($15.29) Notions (Thread, Interfacings, elastic and cording) - £2.50 ($3.19) Total Cost - £23.13 ($29.48 USD) Cost to make each additional with similar fabric around £12-£15 ($15.29-$19.12) The Rebel Sweatpants as well as the Ladies Version the Urban Joggers are both on release sale for just $9 each (£7.06) until midnight 15th June only!
