My little men have recently had a bit of a growth spurt and one of the things they are majorly lacking in is PJ's that fit and they picked some fabric they wanted for some several weeks ago, so when the tester call for this lounge set came out I really had no excuse not to make some for them! They like to match quite a lot so I decided to make them from the same fabric and colours and use slightly different versions so they matched but weren't exactly the same! Pattern Description![]() The 11th Gear Loungewear pattern* is the newest PDF pattern from New Horizons*. It is a complete loungewear pattern for children which also includes a fun optional pocket for the tee. It has a HUGE size range from 3-6 months all the way up to age 16 (18-32" chest) so it really is great value for money! The PDF pattern has separate sections of the fully illustrated instructions for all the different options as well as hyperlinks at the bottom of each page to help you find the right section. The pattern pieces are also in their own sections and are layered so you only need to print the pages for the size for the style you want to make. Due to the variety of options included the fabric requirements are extremely varied too so thought it would be easier to insert the chart from the listing below instead My VersionsI made a plain tee and joggers in a straight size 3, a pocketed tee in straight age 5 and plain PJ pants in age 2 width, age 4 length! I used a variety of knit fabrics including cotton lyra, viscose elastane and sweatshirt fleece. They took a couple of evenings (around 8 hours) to make all 4 garments from printing to finished. How do they fit?Great! The lengths are a little on the long side but not so long they will trip over them or that they look too big, the cuffs are all comfortable on them the necklines stretch nicely over their heads and in general just fit as they should! The pocketed tee was made in a size bigger than he measures, purely to try and predict his constant growing at the moment and last him a little longer! Tester InspirationThere are loads of other tester photos for inspiration on the listing HERE* Project CostFull price pattern - (£15.96) $19.95 - I received the pattern for free in return for testing Fabric Cost for all - £16 ($20) Notions & Thread - £2 ($2.50) Total Cost for BOTH SETS - £33.96 ($42.45 USD) or £21.22 per set Cost to make each additional set would be around £9-10 ($11.25-$12.50) The 11th Gear pattern* is on release sale for $14.95 (£11.96) until midnight TONIGHT 23rd January (MST timezone) only so be quick! The Verdict!I love them, the boys love them and they've already requested more, but both of them want pockets this time! I'm also planning on making the joggers for my eldest for going to his sports activities.
